Yes. Planet’s Smart Cart can detect if a product is already in the cart and prevent it from being recommended again, as long as you enable this setting.

Where is this configured?

You can set this option from the Upsells section within the Smart Cart:

  1. Open the Planet app.

  2. Go to Cart > Upsells.

  3. You’ll see an option called “Show products already in the cart.

  4. If you disable this option, Planet will automatically hide any product the customer has already added to their cart.

By default, this option is turned off, meaning products already in the cart won’t be shown as upsells unless you change the setting.
