How Priority Works in Post Purchase

Guide to understanding how Planet decides which Post Purchase extension is shown when multiple are active.

Shopify only allows one Post Purchase extension to be shown per order. This means that even if you have multiple extensions active and an order contains products that trigger more than one of them, the customer will only see one.

Which extension is shown first?

The extension shown is the first activated extension whose conditions are met by the products in the order. If it doesn't apply, the next one in activation order is evaluated, and so on. If none apply, nothing is shown.

Example

You have three active extensions in this activation order: A → B → C.

A customer purchases a product that triggers B and C. Planet checks A first — doesn't apply. Moves to B — applies. The customer sees B. C is not shown.

Things to keep in mind

If you have multiple active extensions, the order in which you activated them determines their priority. If you want to change which extension takes precedence, you can deactivate them and reactivate them in the desired order.
