The additional notes feature allows you to offer customers a field to add comments, special instructions, or any relevant information before completing their purchase.

Here's how to activate, configure, and customize it to fit your store’s needs.

1. Activation

To use this feature, first enable the notes option from the cart settings panel. Once activated, a text field will appear where customers can freely write any message related to their order.

2. Configuration

Once the notes field is active, you can customize the following elements:

  • Field title: The heading that appears above the text area.
    Example: “Want to leave us a note?” or “Special instructions for your order.”

  • Placeholder text: The message that appears inside the field before the customer types.
    Example: “Write here if you have any special requests…”

When to Use It

This field is useful for stores that:

  • Offer gift wrapping options or allow personalized messages.

  • Sell customizable products like engraved jewelry, embroidered clothing, or stationery.

  • Need to receive delivery instructions (e.g., doorman, preferred time, references).

  • Want to provide an extra communication channel during checkout.

These notes are saved along with the order and can be reviewed from your store’s admin panel. They're a valuable tool to improve communication with your customers.
