If your store sells in multiple languages, you can easily translate all visible texts from Planet's Checkout extensions so they automatically adapt to the customer’s language.
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to do it using the Shopify Translate & Adapt app.
1. Access the extension translations
How to Access Metaobjects from the Shopify Admin Panel
You can locate and edit the extension texts directly from the Shopify admin panel by following these steps:
Go to your Shopify admin panel.
Navigate to Content > Metaobjects.
Locate the metaobject corresponding to the extension you want to translate:
Checkout Upsell Content
Thank You Upsell Content
2. Translate the extensions
In the Checkout Upsell Content and Thank You Upsell Content sections, you’ll find specific texts for each extension:
Click on the fields on the right-hand side to modify or adjust the translation to the selected language. You can translate manually or use the “Auto-translate” option in the top right corner.
4. Save and Review Changes
Once you’ve finished translating, click Save in the top right corner.
Visit your store in the corresponding language to verify that the extensions display the translated texts correctly.
Remember: if you edit the extensions from Planet after translating, the translations won’t update automatically.
You’ll need to go back to the Translate & Adapt app and manually update the affected translations.
