Promotion KPIs

Guide to understanding how promotion KPIs work

Within promotions, Planet displays performance metrics at two levels: on the main Promotions page, with a global overview of all activity for the current month, and inside each promotion, with the specific detail of its performance.

KPIs on the main Promotions page

At the top of the Promotions page you'll find a summary with data from all promotions during the current month. These KPIs allow you to compare the overall performance of your promotions against your store's total activity.

  • Monthly revenue: total revenue generated by all promotions in the store during the current month.

  • Monthly orders: total number of orders placed with promotions in the store during the current month.

  • Monthly attribution: number of orders this month in which a Planet promotion was involved.

  • Planet orders: total accumulated number of orders in which Planet has participated, with no date limit.

  • Planet items: total number of items sold with a Planet promotion applied, with no date limit.

  • Planet revenue: total revenue generated by orders where Planet was involved.

  • Planet attribution: total accumulated number of attributions recorded by Planet.

KPIs inside each promotion

When you open a specific promotion, you'll find a Performance block with that promotion's individual metrics. From there you can also access the Analytics page to see performance in detail.

  • Impressions: the number of times the promotion widget has been shown to customers.

  • ATC (Add to Cart): the number of times a customer has added a product to the cart from the widget.

  • ATC Rate: the percentage of impressions that resulted in an "Add to Cart". Indicates how effective the widget is at capturing customer attention.

  • Attributions: the number of times the promotion has been applied to an order. This is the key indicator that the promotion has had a real impact on a purchase.

  • Conversion: the percentage of impressions that resulted in an attribution. Measures the overall effectiveness of the promotion from the moment it is shown to the moment it generates a sale.

  • Items: the total number of items sold with this promotion applied.

  • Revenue: the total revenue generated by this promotion.

Additionally, the promotions table shows these same KPIs broken down by promotion, allowing you to compare performance across promotions at a glance.
